Jeffrey Faircloth

Our precious baby Drake, born April 17, 2022, left us too soon on October 17, 2022.  Drake leaves behind his parents, Chad and Brittany Faircloth and sister, Anna Katherine “Kate” of the home; maternal grandmother, Ruth Hester Robertson; maternal great-grandmother, Anna Ruth Hester; paternal grandmother, Cathi Moffat; paternal grandfather, Eddie Faircloth and a host of  uncles, aunts, cousins, and a community of people who are better simply for having been in his presence.  Drake was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Jeffrey Lee Robertson, who, having never met him on earth, is certainly rejoicing with him now in the presence of Jesus.

Drakes’s daddy called him the happy baby-and that he was!  Even when he cried, it was never long-and it was always  followed by a most singularly brilliant smile!  Oh that smile-that will be what we miss the most because it made the world better.  His mama called him “Butterbean,” and he was never far from her side, eyes glowing when he looked at her.  Kate called him Ake, and adored being his sissy!  Drake was a brilliant star, his Nana’s “Angel,” and his Hoppie’s joy!

What we had with Drake for those six months will fill our souls with joy forever!  Every single moment spent with him was like a high  concentration of love mixed with joy and topped with hope!  In Drake, God allowed us to glimpse Heaven!  Pure, perfect, beautiful-and when we get there, Drake will be waiting-pure, perfect, beautiful!

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Elizabethtown Baptist Church.
