Afton Phillips

Afton Vaughn Phillips, 77, of Lisbon passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Afton V. and Beatrice Burney Phillips, one brother, Herschel Phillips, and one sister, Debbie Norris.

He is survived by his wife, Roslyn McCall Phillips of the home; one daughter, Felicia Spencer and husband Tim of Grays Creek; three sons, Mark Phillips and wife Faye of Hope Mills, Major Brad Phillips and wife Susan of Tucson, AZ, Tim Phillips and wife Rhonda of Rock Hill, SC; two step-daughters, Joy Dowless of the home and Michelle Knight and husband Chris of Swansea, SC; one sister, Zelda Fredere and husband Bobby of Lakeland, FL; one brother, Bill Phillips and wife Glenda of Clarkton; six grandchildren, Reece Afton Russell, Megan C. Russell, Timothy (TJ) Phillips, Jr., Faith, Grace, and Christian Knight.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church at 3:00 pm with Rev. Neill Smith officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
