Albert Settlemeyer

June 2, 1979 — August 8, 2018

Albert Christopher "Chris" Settlemeyer, 39, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Robert and Margaret Huggins; paternal grandparents: Punk and Mattie Settlemeyer. Chris is survived by his parents: David and Melanie Settlemeyer of Elizabethtown; brother: Heath Settlemeyer (Lynn) of Leland; sister: Susan Settlemeyer Edwards (Anthony) of Kernersville; four nephews: Nathan Edwards, Mason Edwards, Andrew Settlemeyer, Chase Edwards; one niece: Chasity Edwards and one great-niece: Phoenix.

Chris was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish with friends and family. If anyone grew up with Chris then you know that you were never bored when he was around, and never not laughing until you were crying. Chris inherited the sincere showcase of love and respect from his father, David and the sweet loving nature of his mother, Melanie. Sincerity was as much in his catalogue as a person that his goofiness was. Chris never really stuck with one path, one career choice, or one plan, and he didn't need to. He chased happiness and when he found it he rode that path till it was worn out and moved on in his chase. Chris had a kind and gentle soul that will never be forgotten.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 13th from 5-8pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A private burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carvers Creek Methodist Church c/o Brenda Marshall PO Box 98 Council, NC 28434.
