Alice Hammond

Alice Lorraine Hammond, 78, of Bladenboro, died Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System, Whiteville, NC.



Born October 9, 1928, in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Hovey and Blanche Little.



Mrs. Hammond is preceded in death by her parents; son, J.T. Hammond, Jr.; and brother, Carl G. Little.



She is survived by her husband, Thurman Hammond; son, Larry Hammond and wife Beth of Clarkton, NC; brothers, Autry Little and wife Betty of Lumberton, NC, and Johnny Little of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; eight grandchildren, Larry Hammond, Jr., James Mark Hammond, Tara Lynn Hammond, Joshua Hammond, Jaime Hammond, Jessica Hammond, Macon Hammond, and Kelsey Hammond; two great grandchildren, Caroline Hammond and James "Jake" Mark Hammond, Jr.



The visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2006 at Bladen Funeral Home and at other times at the home. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 11, at Bladen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Dorman officiating. Burial will be in Bladen Memorial Gardens, Elizabethtown.
