Alice Layton

Alice Pearl Paul Layton, 87, of Elizabethtown died Saturday, June 10, 2006. Alice Pearl was the daughter of the late Ira W. and Lucrecia C. Paul. She was Dr. Channing Glenn\\'s nursing assistant for many years and retired from Bladen County Hospital as a lab technician, where she worked for more than 20 years.



She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence A. Layton.



She is survived by her son, Rev. Dr. Paul A. Layton of Council, one granddaughter, Allison Hardin and her husband Bobby of Myrtle Beach, SC, two grandsons, Johnathan Paul Layton of Wilson, NC, Jason P. Layton and his wife Kimberly of Durham, NC and two great grandchildren, Robin Hardin and Olivia Layton.



Funeral services will be Monday, June 12, 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church. Burial to follow in the Mt. Horeb church cemetery.



Visitation will be Sunday, June 11, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Bladen Funeral Home and Cremations, Elizabethtown, N.C.
