Alvania Alvarez passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the age of 49. She is survived by her parents, three daughters: Seily Fonceca, Yarin Fonceca, and Katherine Alvarez, four grandchildren, her life partner Francisco Lopez, five sisters, two brothers, and many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.
Alvania Alvarez was born on September 15, 1969 in Honduras, Central America to Juan Angel Alvarez and Rosaura Bonilla De Alvarez. She was a Bladen County resident since 1996. Ms. Alvania was known to many as a lively, kindhearted and selfless lady. Her endless devotion to helping others will transcend through time. Although she established herself in America, Ms. Alvania never forgot her roots. She was a devoted mother, daughter and friend and leaves them all with cherished fond memories. One of her undeniable talents was advocating for those that could not do for themselves, as well as a passion for cooking. Although she is gone, she will forever be in the hearts of her family and friends. May her body rest in peace in the place she called home and her soul rejoice in the presence of our Father and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am til 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Guadalupe Garcia officiating. Burial will follow the services in Bladen Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown.
