Amber Dawn Smith

Amber Dawn Smith, 19, of Fayetteville passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024. She was born in Cumberland County the daughter of Kevin Smith and Cheryn Abbas Smith. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John Michael Abbas, paternal grandparents, Henry Daniel Smith and Delores D. Smith. 

Left to cherish her memory are her parents Kevin and Cheryn Abbas Smith of Fayetteville, two sisters Morgan Brooke Scott (Kameron) of Hope Mills and Cynthia Lauren Smith of Fayetteville, nephew Markus William Scott of Hope Mills, Aunt Dannette Sessoms (James) of Lumberton, Aunt Celia Billups (Larry) of Elizabethtown, Uncle Henry Allen of Garland, Aunt Michelle Abbas (Lisa) of Colorado, and Grandparents Mary Janet and Rene` Blanc of California, and many beloved cousins and friends.

Amber was a true angel who touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She loved unconditionally and had the kindest spirit. An over achiever by nature, Amber had a drive to excel in life and she was well on her way with only a few short credits away from graduating with a bachelor’s degree in health science from Fayetteville State University. She had plans to attend the East Carolina University Physician's Assistance program and become a pediatric physician assistant. Amber loved God and had a passion for working in the mission field alongside her Uncle James. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 11:00 am -12:00 pm at the Zion Hill Baptist Church, 12883 NC Hwy 41 N, Lumberton, NC 28358. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm with the Reverend Jeff Broadwell officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Old Bluff Presbyterian Church Cemetery, at 2:00 pm on 4100 Old Bluff Church Rd, Godwin, NC 28344.
