Annie Alphin Foster

Annie Oneal Alphin Foster, age 86, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents: Willie Davis Alphin and Celia Thompson Alphin of Richlands, NC, her husband of 59 years, Virgil Webster Foster, son: Randy D. Foster, infant son: Gregory Foster, siblings: Harvey Alphin, Ruby Quinn, Sybil Sanderson, and Durwood Alphin. Annie leaves behind her children: Franklin Scott Foster and spouse, Debra of Elizabethtown; Patrick McNeil Foster of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren: Devan Foster and spouse, Riley Foster of Somerville, MA; Dalton Foster and spouse, Sydney Bohn of Charlotte, NC; Lydia Foster of White Oak, NC; and Layla Angel Foster of Elizabethtown; siblings: Verchie E. Vick of Greenville, NC and Mary Edna Ellis of Richlands, NC; sister-in-law: Kathleen Alphin of Richlands, NC and several nieces and nephews.

Annie loved her family, especially her grandchildren. In her later years, she was a full time homemaker and caregiver for her husband and terminally ill son,
Randy. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, growing vegetables in her garden and doing things for her grandchildren. She was a gifted seamstress and an excellent cook. She enjoyed many long and lasting friendships with people in the Elizabethtown area.

We would like to personally thank the staff at West Bladen Assisted Living in Bladenboro, NC and Community Hospice in Whiteville, NC for the loving kindness and care she received during the last months of her life. Also, we are eternally grateful to her neighbors on Glenwood Drive for their loving kindness.

To honor Annie's wishes, there will be no funeral services. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
