Annie Edwards Nance, 86, of Bladenboro passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Edwards and Lucille Powers Edwards, husband, Weldon Nance, one son, Joe Nance, two sisters: Minnie Canupp and Katie Lambert. She is survived by two daughters, Glenda Russ of Bladenboro; Barbara Jordan Evans of Tar Heel and three grandchildren; Tonya Dixon of Elizabethtown; Chris Jordan of Tar Heel; Joe Nance of Bladenboro and 11 great grandchildren.
Annie grew up on a farm and at age 15, she married the love of her life, Weldon Nance. She worked in the sewing room and on the family farm. Annie loved God, the church and her family dearly. Cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren were the highlight of her life. She always made sure she had a pan of biscuits prepared for anytime they came for a visit. Annie loved to shop and her Oil of Olay products. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she would fill the house with decorations. Annie has moved on to her eternal home, but her legacy of love and generosity will live on in the hearts of her family.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at the Bladen Gaskins in Bladenboro. A funeral service will follow at 3 pm with Rev. Charleston Guyton officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Weldon Nance Family Cemetery in Bladenboro.
