Barbara Carson

Barbara Jean Carson, 84, of Clarkton (formerly of Newburgh, NY) passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Lillian Parant Baylous, two sisters, Shirley and Juanita and by two husbands, Van Conner, Jr. and Robert Carson. She was past president and life member of the Good-Will Fire Dept. Women's Auxiliary in Newburgh, NY.

Barbara is survived by one son, John Conner and wife Susan of Newburgh, NY; one daughter, Debra Conner of Clarkton and two step-daughters, Alice Rodriguez of Geneva, NY and Robin Nita of Newark, NY; one sister, Betty VanInwegen of Newburgh, NY; grandchildren, Amy Kosturik and husband Joseph of Newburgh, NY, Stacy Rivera and husband Amaury of Cortlandt Manor, NY; step-grandchildren, Joshua, Kristin, Adrienne and David; great grandson, Joseph Rivera; several step-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, NC. A memorial service will take place at a later date in Newburgh, NY.
