Barbara Collins

Barbara Jean Hilburn Collins, 68, of Bladenboro passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014 at her home. She was born in Bladen County on August 10, 1945 to Paul and Montie Pait Hilburn.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Montie Pait Dowless, her husband, Johnny Collins, one sister, Nancy Hilburn Pait, and one brother, Ronnie Hilburn.

She is survived by two sons, Guy Childress and wife Laura and David Childress both of Bladenboro; one daughter, Toni Lawrence and husband Tony of Cambria, IL; one brother, McCrae Dowless; several stepbrothers and stepsisters; three grandchildren, Marinda Riecan and husband John, Erica and Brianna Childress; three great grandchildren, Hillary, Laney and Cadence Riecan.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 14, 2014 from 12:00 until 12:45 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
