Barbara Hester

Barbara Collum Hester, age 73 of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Evelyn Bordeaux Collum; a son, Billy Lee Hester; brother, David Earl Collum; and sister, Pauline Collum Autry. She is survived by two sons, Kenny Hester and wife Dena of Elizabethtown and Dan Hester and wife Marcia of Bumpass, VA; daughter, Debbie Hester Hammonds and husband Drew of Lumberton; two brothers, Wesley Collum, Jr. and wife Cindy and James Collum and wife Judy; sister, Betty C. Davis and husband Bizzle; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Bladen Memorial Gardens officiated by Rev. Jeff Blackburn.
