Benjamin \\"B. Frank\\" Williams, Jr., 81, of Elizabethtown passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Wesley Pines Retirement Home in Lumberton, NC. Mr. Williams was born on September 6, 1928 to Frank and Maybelle Warren Williams of Weldon, NC.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Marion Britt Williams of Lumberton, NC; a son, Thad Williams and wife Tammy of White Oak; one daughter, Jennifer Juren and husband Jay of Fayetteville, GA; five grandchildren, Amanda Everette, Justin Phillips, Marion Beth Juren, Ann Christian Juren, Jennifer Hope Juren and one great grandchild, Lainee Everette. Mr. Williams was blessed to leave behind numerous extended family, friends, and caregivers.
An ordained Baptist minister, Mr. Williams began his career by serving as minister to Dublin Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Williams retired in 1990 after over 30 years of service to Bladen County Schools as both a teacher and administrator. He was a devoted member of the Elizabethtown Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
A worship and celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 7, 2010 at Elizabethtown Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Carroll, Dr. Jerry Wallace, and Dr. David Elks officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations and memorial be made to Elizabethtown Baptist Church, 1800 West Broad Street,Elizabethtown, NC 28337.
