Betty Hewitt

Betty Lou Hewitt, age 78 of Bladenboro, died Saturday, February 7, 2015 at home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Bessie Rich; two sons, Kenneth and Donald Hewitt; three sisters, Judy Tatum, Eloise Babson, and Elaine Pasons. She is survived by her husband, Edgar Blake Hewitt, Jr.; sons, Richard Hewitt and wife Deborah of Bladenboro and Harold Hewitt and wife Delma of Leland; daughter, Sheryl Hewitt Gurganus and husband Kent of Williams Township; brother, Dennis Rich of Bladenboro; sisters Lucille Rich Thompson, Joanne Rich Kinlaw, Carolyn Rich Gause, and Margorie Rich Armstrong, all of Bladenboro; grandchildren, Jennifer Inman Bratt and husband William of Elizabethtown, Shane Hewitt and wife Marsha of Lumberton, Phillip Hewitt, Kimberly Hewitt Wells and husband Michael of Leland, Kristen Hewitt and husband Paul of Leland, Candace Hewitt, Michael Dunn and wife Lora of Jacksonville; great grandchildren, Colin Hewitt, Joseph Hewitt, Kiley Hewitt, Kayla Hewitt, Brayden Hewitt, Alexis Sessoms, Madyson Sessoms, Blake Hudson, Mallen Wells, Sammy Dunn, Patrick Dunn, Elizabeth Dunn, and Anthony Dunn.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Services will be conducted on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Charlie Tatum. Burial will follow at Lewis Cemetery.
