Betty Rose Ludlum, 81, of Bladenboro, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lindell and Ollie Martin; husband: Hartford Ludlum; brother: Buddy Martin. Betty is survived by one son: Benjie Ludlum of Bladenboro; two daughters: Pam Johnson and husband Carlton of Bladenboro, Gail West of Bladenboro; three brothers: Stacy Martin of Bladenboro, W.L. Martin and wife Debbie of Lumberton, Jimmy Martin and wife Louise of Lumberton; eight grandchildren: Paula Dalton and husband James, Melissa Lewis and husband Jeffrey, Robbie West and wife Jill, Jessica West, TJ West, Benjamin Ludlum and wife Niecy, Savannah and Adam Ludlum; six great-grandchildren: Madison Singletary, Triston, Trent, Taylor, Brantley, and Brody West; and three great-great grandchildren: Joshua Nance, Gena Nance and Rane West.
Betty treasured her family and church. She loved to play piano, sew and gardening. Betty had such a sweet gentle spirit and would do anything for people she knew. She will be missed by all her knew her.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 2:30-4pm at New Light Church with a funeral service at 4pm. Rev. Dale Hester and Rev. Bobby Smith will be officiating services. Burial will follow services in the Singletary Cemetery at Sandhills in Bladenboro.
