Betty Pate

Betty Jean Davis Pate , 81, of Clarkton passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Austin Davis and Lina High Davis, her husband, Kirby Pate and one son, Tony Pate. Betty leaves behind two sons, Timmy Pate (Kim) of Chadbourn; Mark Pate of Whiteville; one daughter, Linda Carroll Parker (Joe) of Clarkton; two sisters, Carolyn Sanderford of Clarkton; Margie Bridges of Creedmoor; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Betty cherished her family and enjoyed family gathering time. She was a compassionate, caring nurse for 33 years and a member of the Clarkton Shag club. Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren and dancing. She always put the needs of others before herself.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 29, at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home from 11:00 am until 12 noon. Funeral services will following at 12 noon with Rev. Kincy Barrow officiating. Burial will follower in Bullard Cemetery.
