Betty Priest

Betty Thompson Priest, 78, of Bladenboro, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Jetta Thompson; five brothers: William, Wade, Shadwell, Junior, Vernon and great-grandson: Zack Priest. Betty is survived by her husband: Carlton "Scasie" Priest of Bladenboro; son: Jeffrey Priest of Bladenboro; three daughters: Teresa McDonald (Michael) of Clarkton, Melissa Stocks (Johnny Packer) of Clarkton, Lori Lewis of Pageland, SC; brother: James Craven Thompson (Sandra) of Clinton, Iowa; ten grandchildren: Heath, Jason, Ikie, Kimberly, Jeff, Alexander, Jetta, Jenna, Jessie, Jeremy and fourteen great-grandchildren: Morgan, Carlee, Michael, Devan, Cayden, Paisley, Diamond, Jerrica, Max, Serenity, Nicholas, Dylon, Leelon, and Elijah.

Betty was the most caring, kind, good-hearted and loving person. She loved her family and her husband with all of her heart and was dedicated until the end to him. Betty took care of her husband making sure he was comfortable. She will be missed by all; her husband and children loved her dearly.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 2-3pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with a funeral service at 3pm. Rev. Jimmy Strole and Rev. Richard Priest will be officiating services. Burial will follow services in Old Field Cemetery in Bladenboro.
