Betty Tatum

Betty Jane Tatum, 78, of Elizabethtown passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton “Carson” Tatum, her son, Carlton “Bo” Lee Tatum, Jr., her parents, David and Isabelle Robinson, three brothers, Johnnie Curtis Robinson, David “Dick” Robinson, and Colin Bailey Robinson, and one sister, Nellie Tatum. Betty is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Tatum of the home, one granddaughter, Allison Wright of the home, one grandson, Branden Tatum of Elizabethtown, four sisters, Ida Suggs, Beulah Johnson, Sarah Johnston (Kelly), all of Elizabethtown, and Irene Alford of Goldsboro, and one brother, Daniel Robinson (Marilyn) of Elizabethtown.

Betty was a compassionate woman. She adored her family and was a “Mama” to all. Betty enjoyed babysitting and collecting dolls. She will be missed dearly.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 2:30-3:30 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A graveside service will follow at 4 pm in the Davis Cemetery, off Sweet Home Church Rd in Elizabethtown.
