Beulah Guyton

Mrs. Beulah Collier Guyton, 81, of Elizabethtown passed away Thursday, November 4, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Hubert Collier and was born on August 6, 1929 in Cumberland County, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband Julian Edward Guyton,



She is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Mary John Huggins of Elizabethtown; Mrs. Thelma Collier Roberson and husband Benjamin Earl of Kinston, NC; Mrs. Jeanette Collier Savage of Council and husband Robert of Council; Mrs. Dorothy Collier Smith and husband Robert Alford of Cary NC; and Mrs. Hazel Collier Wallace and husband Bill of Morehead City, NC and the proud Aunt of fourteen nieces and nephews.



Mrs. Guyton graduated from Elizabethtown High School and continued her education at Hardbarger Business College in Raleigh, NC; where she received a business degree. Her career included working at Waccamaw Bank and Trust Co. and she retired after thirty-eight years from the Bladen County Board of Education as Finance Officer. She enjoyed and loved her work with the board of education and the many people she knew in her work and in her personal life.



The family will receive friends on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Pastors Warren Hill and Ron Wilson will conduct her service at Western Prong Baptist Church on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in Bladen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Mrs. Guyton's nephews James Edward Huggins, Ronald Wayne Huggins, William Kenneth Huggins, Walter Hubert Roberson, Robert Rodger Savage III, and Robert Sterling Smith.
