Billy Rogers Everette

Billy Rogers Everette Sr. of Elizabethtown passed away peacefully at the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center in Whiteville at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by his parents, Danny James Everette and Ole Mae Meares Everette, three brothers Floyd, Glenn and O’Neil Everette, and four sisters, Mary Lennon, Becky Tatum, Joyce Barnes, and Katie Simmons.

 He is survived by sons, Billy Everette Jr. of California, Keith Brian Everette (Rose Tijerina) of North Carolina, daughters Melissa Smith (Pat) of Wilmington, Anita Everette (Candus Clarke) of North Carolina, six brothers Randy Everette, Wayne Everette (Sharon), Terry Everette, Larry Everette (Joy), Dan Everette (Wanda), and Chris Everette (Cathy), one sister Holly Eastman (Ricky), seven grandchildren, Caroline, Marietta, Grace, Alexandria, Nicholas, Logan, and Harrison and three great grandchildren.

 Billy was the proud father to his four children that he raised with wife, Candus. He cherished time spent with them and his wonderful siblings. His home always had an open-door policy and he enjoyed when folks came for a visit. One could often find him hunting or shopping which he loved to do, especially buying for others. He had such a compassionate, giving spirit and always gave the best of himself. He will be dearly missed.

 The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at the Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with a Memorial Service immediately to follow at 2 pm with the Reverend Jim Woodruff officiating.
