Billy Gunter

Billy Albert Gunter, 70, of Elizabethtown passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Henry Gunter and Callie McDonald Gunter, two brothers, James Gunter, Charles L. Gunter, and two sisters, Betty Gunter Barnes and Barbara Gunter. Billy leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Faye Price Gunter of the home, one son Bill S. Gunter (Sherry) of Elizabethtown; one daughter, Crystal Gunter (Sarah) of Maxton; one brother, Jerry Gunter (Norma) of South Carolina; two sisters, Nancy Gunter Smith (Robert) of Mooresville; Judy Gunter Horne (Wayne) of Lumberton; three granddaughters: Hillary Gunter Green (Lee) of Evergreen; Alley Rich (Blake) of Elizabethtown and Kacy Gunter of Elizabethtown; three great grandchildren: Gracin, Sawyer, and Landon and his fur baby, Penny.

Billy was a loving family man. He cherished his time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Billy also enjoyed fishing, golfing, and watching golf on tv. He was a talented carpenter. His hard-working hands are now at rest, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all that love him.

The family will receive friends from 1- 2:30 pm on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A graveside service will follow at 3 pm in the Pine Crest Cemetery in Bladenboro with Pastor Bill Cooper officiating.
