Bobby Lee Sessoms, 80, United States Army Veteran of Clarkton passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024, while at Cape Fear Valley Healthcare in Fayetteville. He was born in Bladen County on September 25, 1943, to the late Jack Sessoms and Mary Jane Parker Sessoms.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Dorothy Sessoms, son Bobby Sessoms II, five sisters, Sudie Jackson, Shirley Welch, Brenda Smith, Vickie Smith and Jeanie Wilkes, and one brother, John Wilkes. Survivors include his three grandchildren Kimberlee Sessoms, Bobbie Lyn Sessoms, and Adam Sessoms, and two brothers, Marshall Sessoms of Clarkton and James Wilkes of Lumberton.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on Thursday, March 21st at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown followed by a funeral service at 3 pm with the Reverend Lacy Norris officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Elizabethtown.
