November 14, 1960 — March 8, 2018

Bret Douglas Lee, 57, of Elizabethtown passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents John Willie and Amy H. Lee and maternal grandparents: Berlie and Nettie Freeman. Bret is survived by his parents: John William Lee and Johnise "Jean" Lee of Elizabethtown; one brother: Bill Lee and wife Karen Lee of Elizabethtown, one sister: Keri Robertson and husband Glenn of White Lake; several nieces and nephews: Will Lee, TJ Lee and wife Kayla, Brandon Lee, Amy Narron and husband Josh, and Sarah Cullen and husband Jay, and several great-neices and nephews: Hartley, Karrington, Jordan, Kali Mae, and Jeremiah.

Bret was a fun loving, mischevious, smart, compassionate and giving man. He loved his family, especially his niece and nephews. Bret attended and graduated from East Carolina University. He enjoyed attending church and loved to sing. Bret fought courageously after his stroke, praying continuously and giving thanks to the Lord above for every day was a gift. He will truly be missed.

The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:30 pm on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Dublin First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall followed by a funeral service at 4:00 pm in the church sanctuary with Rev. Cameron McGill officiating. Burial will follow the services in Bladen Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown.
