Brian Singletary, Jr.

Brian Singletary, Jr, 75, of Tar Heel, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at UNC Health Southeastern Hospital in Lumberton. He was born to the late Nathan Brian Singletary and Mary Alice Wilson Singletary on December 25, 1948 in Robeson County. 

Brian leaves behind his wife, Dorothea S. Singletary of the home; sons: Steven Singletary (Rachel Sutton) of Tar Heel, Timothy Singletary (Samantha) of Wilkes County and daughter, Sandra Singletary (Norbert Guerz) of Germany; grandchildren: Lily Guerz, Emma Guerz, Nathan Singletary, Zoey Sutton, Sawyer Singletary and Wyatt Singletary.

Brian served in the United States Army in his younger years and after his discharge he began to make his way at home. He adored his family and grandkids. He enjoyed spending his spare time cooking, eating, hanging with his buddies in his shop, listening to music and watching John Wayne movies on the television. Brian’s openness and welcoming nature will never be forgotten.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Friday, August 9th at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, August 10th in the Tar Heel Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Tommy Puryear officiating service.
