Carolyn Hester

Carolyn S. Hester, age 79 of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Ethel Pierce Sasser; husbands, James William Collins and James Hester; a son, Lynn Collins; a grandson, Jamie Collins, and a brother, Jack Sasser. Carolyn was a loving sister, mother and grandmother. She loved her family dearly.



She is survived by her sons, Randall Collins and wife Jill of Clarkton and Glenn Collins and wife Donna of Leland; two brothers, Eugene Sasser of Whiteville and Shafter Sasser of Hallsboro; five sisters, Leotha Jordan, Esther Williamson, Pat Russ, Sarah Crawford all of Whiteville and Doris Nichols of Bishopville, SC; six grandchildren, Ollie Nicole, Chad, Cory, Ashley, Alston, Glynn Jr., and eleven great grandchildren, Darren, JaQuinn, Nicholas, Cameron, EJ, Ethan, Trinity, Harvey, Nathan, Lexie and Evan.



The family will receive friends on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 3:00 pm at White\\'s Creek Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Kincy Barrow and Rev. Warren Hill. Burial will follow at White\\'s Creek Cemetery.
