Charles Allen

Charles Jefferson "June" Allen, Jr. , age 88 of Tar Heel, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015. Mr. Allen was a World War II Army Veteran. He was born on November 1, 1926 to the late Charles Jefferson Allen,Sr. and Mamie Carroll Allen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Butler Allen and a brother, William Simpson (W.S.) Allen.

He is survived by two daughters, Cindy Allen Sanderson and husband William of Fayetteville and Judy Beth Allen of Brazil; three brothers, Clifford Allen of Charlotte, Gurney Allen of Tar Heel and James "Jim" Allen of Tar Heel; one sister, Berline Tyndall; two grandchildren, William Allen Sanderson and wife Allison of Charlotte and Christopher Scott Sanderson of Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 5:30 until 8:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 11:00 am at Tar Heel Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Mack Roberts, Rev. Warren Hill and Rev. Devon Varnam officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
