Charles Guyton

Charles David Guyton, 67, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents: Herbert and Evelyn Guyton and sister: Judith Guyton Suggs. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 40 years: Sharon Guyton of the home; one son: Steven Woods (Karen) of the home; two daughters: Shala Cox (Stephen) of Elizabethtown, Crystal McDaniel (Chris) of Elizabethtown; one brother: John Guyton (Cindy) of Elizabethtown; three grandchildren: Aspen Batten (Tyler), Cayleigh McDaniel, Camren McDaniel; two great-grandchildren: Hunter Batten and Cayson Batten on the way to be born in December.

David treasured his family and adored his grandchildren. He also loved his daycare children whom he was known affectionately as Papa. David was an outdoorsman who enjoyed riding his golf cart, fishing and being a carpenter.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 2pm at Wesley's Chapel United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown with Rev. Darrell Copeland and Rev. Danny Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after services in the church multi-purpose building.
