Charles Hobbs

Charles Middleton Hobbs, age 82, of Carvers Creek passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Emma Ruth Bennett Hobbs and his sister, Frances H. Bowles. He is survived by his wife Shelby M. Hobbs of the home, two sons Charles Michael Hobbs and Thomas Neil Hobbs and wife Sherry, a daughter Donna LaJeanne Hobbs, all of Carvers Creek, two brothers, Robert M. Hobbs and Harold S. Hobbs and wife Carolyn, five grandchildren; Holly and husband John, Crystal and husband Jaimie, Shane, Hunter and Jordan, four great grandchildren: Kinley Grace, Addison, Elaina, and Jenson Chase and a special family friend Joel Jones.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, January 23, 2015 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 2 pm at Carvers Creek United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerome Bullard and Rev. Buddy Champion officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Divita Dialysis Center in Elizabethtown.
