Christine Canady

Christine Blackwell Canady, 75, of Elizabethtown passed away Friday, June 24, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Canady, her parents Vernon and Sadie Blackwell, two sisters Mary Ward and Virginia Phillips, one daughter Tammy Canady, son-in-law Kevin Corcelius, mother- in- law Agnes Canady, and one grandson-in-law Wesley Long. Survivors include: one son Herbert Edward Canady Jr. of Elizabethtown; three daughters: Connie Corcelius Hales and husband Jerry of Bladenboro, Bonnie Canady Fowler of Elizabethtown; and Diana Cook and husband Hugh of Abbottsburg; three brothers: Frank Blackwell of Hope Mills; Vernon Neil Blackwell of Hope Mills; and Bennie Blackwell of Fayetteville; two sisters: Austine Phillips of Fayetteville; and Annie Louise Martin of Lumberton; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Funeral services will be Monday, June 27, 2016 at 3 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Anthony Hardin and Glenn Lanier. Burial will follow the services in Calvary Cemetery in Elizabethtown.
