Christine Dowless

Christine Dowless, 72, of Dublin entered into eternal rest Saturday, December 20, 2008.

She was born in Bladen County to the late Clarence and Foddie Guyton Edwards.

Mrs. Dowless was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Harry Lee Dowless.

She is survived by two daughters, Cathy Harrison and husband, Frank "Gator" of Chester, Virginia and Ruth Rice and husband, Dewitt, of Dublin; one brother, Jason Edwards of Bladenboro; five grandchildren, Melissa Horne, Derrick Rice, Lindsey Rice, Westlee Rice and Kevin Rice; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Horne, Katilyn Horne, Jeremy Horne, and Jared Horne; and a special friend and sister-in-law, Myrtle Croom.

Visitation is planned for Monday, December 22, 2008 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Dublin First Baptist Church with Rev. Cameron McGill and Rev. Patrick Sinclair officiating. Burial will follow the service in Allen Cemetery.
