Clara Hester

Clara Lene Hargrove Hester, 85, of Bladenboro, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Mary Hargrove; husband, Eddis Hester, Sr.; brother, Franklin Hargrove and son-in-law, Kenneth Martin.

Clara leaves behind one son, Eddis Hester, Jr. of Bladenboro; daughter, Cathy H. Martin of Bladenboro; two brothers: J.D. Hargrove and wife Linda of Bladenboro, Freddie Hargrove of Bladenboro; sister, Diana Hinson and husband Tommy of Evergreen; two grandchildren: Erik Martin and wife Julie, Nicole M. Garner and husband Lane.

Clara was a lifelong member of the New Light PFB church. She was a lovely soul whose memory will be cherished forever.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 1st at 2:00 pm in the Lewis Cemetery in Bladenboro. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or online at www.alz.org.
