Currie Long

June 27, 1954 — February 25, 2018

Currie Robinson Long, Jr., 63, of Bladenboro, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at his home. He is preceded in death by his parents: Currie and JoAnn Long. Currie is survived by his wife: Sue Long of the home; two sons: Richard Robinson Long (Robin), Roman Ernest Long (Jennifer), both of Bladenboro; brother: Murrie Long (Betty); two sisters: Pinkie Hester (Al), Rita Kay Wilkins (Jerry); one grandson: Zechariah Roman Long; two step-granddaughters: Katie Curl (Justin) and Jessie Lammers (Brian) both of Brandenburg, KY; eight step-great grandchildren: Brayden, Bailey, Garrett, Kypton, Kellen, and Ollie Curl, Kenzie and JoJo Lammers all of Brandenburg, KY.

Currie was a loving son, husband, father, and granddad. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing softball and golf. Currie had such a humble spirit. He would give to others before himself. Currie was a sweet man with a caring heart. He will be missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 6-8pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 2pm at Sandy Grove Baptist Church in Bladenboro. Rev. Bill Cooper and Rev. Jerry Beck will be officiating services. Burial will follow the service in Long Cemetery in Bladenboro.
