Curtis Clayter

Curtis Horton Clayter, 67, of Riegelwood, died Wednesday, September 20, 2006.



Mr. Clayter was born to Irvin Elwood Clayter and Retha Suggs Clayter on May 22, 1939. He loved his family, friends and his church dearly. He was very fond of sports. Mr. Clayter was a 1970 graduate of Hebron Colony located in Boone, N.C. He was retired from International Paper Company in Riegelwood, NC where he was employed for 44 years.



Mr. Clayter is preceded in death by his mother and father, Retha Clayter and Irvin Elwood Clayter; and brothers, "Billy" Clayter and Irvin E. Clayter, Jr.



Mr. Clayter is survived by his wife, Norma "Sue" Clayter of the home; daughters, Vicky Britt and husband Jimmy of Delco, NC and Tammy Morrison and husband David Morrison, Jr. of Leland, NC; brother, Glenn "Sonny" Clayter and wife Linda of Riegelwood; sisters, Shirley O'Neal of Delco, Hilda Muse of Riegelwood, Betty Clayter Hagood and husband Jim of Delco; grandchildren, Tiffani B. Garrell and husband Paul of Hampstead, Jena Britt of Delco, Haley Morrison and David Morrison, III, both of Leland.



The funeral will be held at 2:00 Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Trinity United Methodist Church at Kelly, NC with Rev. Leonard Sheppard, Rev. Dean Morton, and Rev. Patsy Smith officiating. The burial will follow at Delco Community Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. Friday, September 22 at Bladen Funeral Home, Elizabethtown, NC.
