Daisy Hester

Daisy "Myrtle" Hester, 91, of Bladenboro, died Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, NC.



Ms. Hester was born to Archie and Willow Herring Cromwell on August 26, 1915.



Ms. Hester is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Dixon Hester; and her daughter, June Burney Pait.



She is survived by a brother, Davis Ray Godwin of Sanford; a sister, Dorothy Nance of Arkansas; four grandsons, Dennis Burney, Dwayne Burney, Keith Burney, and Bryon Pait; four great granddaughters, Crystal Burney, Jessica Burney, Paige Burney, and Amber Pait; a nephew, Gerald Deaver and wife Lois; and a niece, Daphine Coleman and husband, J.P..



The visitation will be from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Friday, October 6, 2006 at West Bladenboro Baptist Church, Bladenboro. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, at West Bladenboro Baptist Church with Rev. Boyd Britt officiating. The burial will follow at Godwin Cemetery in Cerro Gordo, NC.
