Darby was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Her family, especially her grandchildren were her whole world. She cherished time spent with them whether it was eating out, shopping, boiling peanuts, or at play with the grandbabies. She enjoyed mowing grass, cooking, trips to the beach, any family gatherings and date nights with Keith. Her love for the Lord and her family shined through in everything she did. Darby will always be remembered for her spit fire personality and determination to live the best that she possibly could.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, November 1, 2024, at Bethel Baptist Church in Dublin. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 3 pm with the Reverend Warren Hill officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Bordeaux Family Cemetery in Elizabethtown. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Duke Clinics, Duke Medicine Pavilion, Duke Cancer Center, Devita of Elizabethtown, and Home Health Care, as well as all those who have helped in anyway during Darby’s time of sickness.
