David Alton Witt

David Alton Witt, 63, of White Lake, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, while at Elizabethtown Nursing Center. He was born in Roanoke, Virginia on December 19, 1960.

David is preceded in death by his parents, C.J. Witt and Barbara Hendrick Witt. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Jackie White of the home, daughter Stephanie Williams of Florence, SC, brother Steve Witt (Linda) of Virginia, two grandchildren Jacqueline Williams of Morganton, NC and Celab Williams of Seattle Washington, great grandchild Atlas Williams of Morganton, NC, a niece, a nephew, several great nieces and nephews, and two fur babies, Cupid and P.J.

David was a hardworking, easygoing guy. He worked for Cox Cable and Time Warner Cable for 25 plus years. He was a people person by nature and enjoyed laughing and conversating with folks. He enjoyed trips to the mountains or the beach, fishing, and listening to music. David will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of nature and his ability to make friends wherever he went. 

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 2-3:00 pm at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following with the Reverend Jonathan Hayes officiating.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville and Elizabethtown Nursing Center for the genuine care given during this difficult time.
