Delbert Russ

Delbert Russ, 76, of Bladenboro passed away Friday, October 21, 2016. Mr. Russ was born April 18, 1940 in Bladen County. He is preceded in death by his parents, Webb and Mary Russ; two sisters: Beulah R. Hales, Pauline R. Hewett; two brothers: Webb Russ Jr. and Paul Russ. He is survived by a brother, T.S. Russ of Whiteville, NC and his dear brother-in-law Rev. Paul V. Hewett of Bladenboro whom has lived with for several years, and many nieces and nephews.
Delbert helped with the construction of Veeder-Root and then was hired as a machinist and retired with over 40 years of service. He was well liked by many friends and family for his acts of kindness. He will sorely be missed by all his family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Hewett cemetery in Bladenboro at 1pm with Bro. David Roper officiating. The family will receive friends after the graveside service with a meal celebrating his life.
