Deloris Brisson

Deloris Bordeaux Brisson, 66, of Dublin passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was married to the love of her life Nelson Brisson for 50 years. She taught in the elementary school system for many years and loved teaching. She loved working in her yard. She loved her family and friends dearly, and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Deloris was born in Bladen County on October 13, 1947 to the late J Y and Merle Nance Bordeaux. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Kenny Brisson and one brother, Johnny Bordeaux.

She is survived by her husband, Nelson Brisson of the home; one daughter-in-law, Melinda Brisson; one brother, Jerry Bordeaux and wife Cristy of Fredericksburg, VA; two sisters, Wanda Singletary of Elizabethtown and Gail Priest and husband Bo of Tar Heel; one grandchild, Mackenzie Brisson.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11:00 am at Dublin First Baptist Church with Rev. Cameron McGill officiating. Burial will follow at Community Baptist Church Cemetery.
