Diane Mcdonald

Diane Hester McDonald, age 57, of Clarkton, died Saturday, April 12, 2014 at home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby Ray Hester and Jessie Mae Lewis Hester. She is survived by her husband, Arthur "Buster" McDonald; a son, Henry 'Andy" McDonald and wife Lynn; a brother, Jimmy Howell and wife Loretta; three sisters, Barbara Jean Hester, Brenda Council and husband Charlie, Tammy Hayes and husband Greg; her best friend, Ella Jane Singletary; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and three special nephews, Jason McDonald, Little Ray Hayes, and Jamie Vause, and several other nieces and nephews. The family is ever grateful to all of her caregivers, Ella Jane Singletary, Lynn McDonald, Teresa McDonald and the staff of Lower Cape Fear Hospice.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Clarkton Baptist Church, with the funeral follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Mark Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Clarkton City Cemetery.
