Dolan Bowman

Dolan Bowman, age 79, of Elizabethtown died at Duke Medical Center on Thursday, February 5, 2009. Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Lee Bowman and Kate Ellen Wood and sister Mary Lee Coggins. He is survived by his wife Verna Bowman of the home; two daughters, Cynthia Earle and husband Steven of Asheville, NC, and Beth Bowman of Chapel Hill, NC; one brother, Jack Bowman of Charlotte, NC; and one grandson, Taylor Neill.



Mr. Bowman was a retired North Carolina Highway Patrolman and a Navy Veteran.



The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 8, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, NC. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at 4:00 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown, NC, officiated by Rev. Bruce Allen and Dr. Earl Farthing.
