Donald Coley

Donald Rudolph Coley, 87, of Elizabethtown passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Della Coley; daughter: Patricia C. Smith; sister: Marie Stroud and two brothers. Donald is survived by his wife: Mary H. Coley; daughter: Jean C. Knutson (Bob) of Morganton; two sons: Donald L. Coley of the Virgin Islands, John R. Coley (Kim) of Goldsboro; six grandchildren: Terrel Knutson (Amanda), Eric Knutson, Brendell Smith (Amber), Daine Smith (Charlotte), Nicole Smith, Hannah C. Laster (Randy) and eleven great grandchildren.

Donald was a retired United States Marine veteran. He served in Korea from 1954-1955 and Vietnam from 1968-1969. Donald was a Baptist minister for fifty years and a member of Dublin First Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 10:00-10:45am in the fellowship hall at Dublin First Baptist Church with a funeral service at 11am inside church. Rev. Cameron McGill will be officiating services. Burial will follow in Bladen Memorial Gardens in Elizabethtown.
