Dorothy Clark

Mrs. Dorothy C. Clark, 86, of Clarkton entered into eternal rest Saturday, December 6, 2008.

Mrs. Clark was born in Bladen County to the late Clarence and Edna Reynard Clark.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a devoted Christian with life-long service to Clarkton Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Clark was a kind, gentle caring lady with a compassionate heart. She was a dear friend to many. Mrs. Clark served as a member of the Clarkton Woman's Club, the Clarkton Lioness Club, and Clarkton Presbyterian's Women of the Church. She was a graduate of Clarkton High School and attended Flora McDonald College.

She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Edna Clark; one brother, Charles Clark; and two sisters, Katherine Lee Ferguson and Virginia Mae Troy.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Billy Clark of the home; two sons, Stewart Clark and wife, Lynn of Clarkton, Stephen Clark and wife, Tillie of Elizabethtown; one daughter, Katherine Clark of Charlotte; and two grandchildren, Mary Katherine Clark and Will Clark of Elizabethtown.

Visitation is planned for Monday, December 8, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Clarkton Presbyterian Church with Rev. Steuart Link officiating. Burial will follow in Clarkton Cemetery.
