Dorothy Sessoms

Dorothy Mae Newton Sessoms, age 76, of Elizabethtown passed away on Thursday, May 03, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents: Lonnie and Asleen Newton, one son: Bobby Lee Sessoms II, and one brother: David Newton. Dorothy leaves behind her husband Bobby Lee Sessoms Sr. of Elizabethtown; two daughters: Kim Cole and husband Dave of Bolivia and Lourie Levar of Fayetteville; three sisters: Anne Newton and husband Donald Kuhnle, Betty Newton Gunter of Grifton; and Alice Faye Newton Taylor and husband Donnie Taylor of Stedman; her grandchildren: Megan Levar Schoonmaker and husband BJ of Dunn; Adam Sessoms of Elizabethtown; Bobbi Lyn Sessoms of Elizabethtown; Kimberlee Sessoms of Elizabethtown; Douglas Sessoms of Bladenboro; Bobby Lee Sessoms III of Bladenboro; and Melinda Sessoms of Clarkton; and one great grandchild Amelia Schoonmaker.

Dorothy was a loving, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Her grand-babies were the apple of her eye and she loved the Lord with all her heart. She enjoyed going to church and spending time working in her flower gardens. Dorothy loved everyone and they loved her. She will truly be missed.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Mt. Horeb Cemetery, Council, NC with Rev. Randy Andrews officiating.
