Elden Hester

Mr. Elden Glenn Hester, 81, of Bladenboro, entered into eternal rest Sunday, October 19, 2008.



Mr. Hester is preceded in death by his parents; Mathew Munn and Jessie Susan Hester, one sister and three brothers.



Mr. Hester was a lifelong member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and a church clerk for 41 years.



He is survived by his wife of the home, Lucille Shepard Hester; one son, John Hester and partner Don Jacobs; one daughter Kim Hester Ball and husband Curtis; five sisters, Martilla Freeman of Bladenboro, Versie Hickman of Bladenboro, Tennessee Shipman of Oak Island, Gladysteen Pait of Bladenboro and Rometta Warren of Newton Grove; and three grandchildren.



The family will receive friends Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 2:00pm, one hour prior to the service at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Other times at the home of Sue Siler, 9026 Center Road, Bladenboro, NC. Funeral service will be at Hickory Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 3:00pm. With Rev. Charles Hester Officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
