Eleanor Creech

Eleanor Faye Creech, 74, of Clarkton entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 29, 2012. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved reading, working in flowers and watching game shows. She loved the mountains, the beauty of God's creation.



She is survived by her husband, Billy Richard Creech of the home; two sons: Richard Creech and wife, Donna, of Clayton, and Wayne Creech and wife, Janis, of Whiteville; four daughters, Jane Starnes and husband Richard, of Clarkton; Elaine Jones and husband, Roger, of Clarkton; Cynthia Skipper of Whiteville; Marie Boswell and husband, Carlton, of Clarkton; one brother, David Duncan and wife, Nancy, of Whiteville; three sisters: Betty Sue Baldwin and husband, Bernard, of Whiteville; Judy Tart and husband, Tim, of Clarkton; Frances Watts and husband, Kennie, of Clarkton; twelve grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.



She is predeceased by her parents, Tommie Duncan and Mary Jones Duncan; a brother, Haywood Duncan; and a sister, Gail Singletary.



Visitation will be Saturday, March 31, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Services will be Sunday, April 1, 2012, at 2:00 PM from Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Arthur Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Flynn Cemetery, Whiteville.
