Elliott Willoughby

Elliott Douglas Willoughby, 84, Army Veteran of Bladenboro passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016. He is preceded in death by his wife Josie Kinlaw Willoughby, granddaughter Renee Smith Priest, infant son James Roger Willoughby, parents Paul and Lucy Willoughby, brothers: Paul "Pug" Willoughby Jr., W.C. Willoughby, Jimmy Willoughby and sisters: Emma W. Stanley, Carol W. Blackman, and Berlyne W. Hair.

Elliott is survived by daughter Wanda Willoughby Smith and husband James Franklin of Council, great granddaughter Joanna Ashlee Priest of Council, two brothers: Jerry Willoughby and Larry Willoughby, both of Evergreen; five sisters: Claire W. Collins of Evergreen, Annis W. Pulley of Denver; Bobbye W. McDonald of Hamlet; Marolyn W. Newell of Monroe; and Gayle W. Britt of Evergreen.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am on Friday, December 23rd at Sandy Grove Baptist Church in Bladenboro followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am with Rev. Jerry Beck and Rev. Carey Horrell officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
