Elwood Guyton, 70, of Dublin, entered into eternal rest Sunday, September 30, 2007.
Mr. Guyton was born in Bladen County to Haywood and Naomi Guyton on August 8, 1937.
He owned and operated Guyton's Floor Covering in Dublin for many years.
Mr. Guyton was predeceased by his father, Haywood Guyton.
He is survived by his mother, Naomi D. Guyton of Bladenboro; his wife Phyllis Hester Guyton of Dublin; three daughters, Deanna G. Hill and husband, Warren, of Whiteville; Teresa G. Willis and husband, Blair, of Gibsonville; and Nanette G. Inman and husband, Kenny, of Tar Heel; two sisters, Jo Ann G. Pait, and husband, Sam; and Norma Lee G. Davis, both of Bladenboro; six grandchildren, Matthew Haywood Hill and Jessica Marie Hill of Whiteville; Ethan Guy Willis and Nolan Michael Willis of Gibsonville; and Abby Leigh Inman and Morgan Elizabeth Inman of Tar Heel. He is also survived by "the son he never had", Paul Russ, of White Oak.
Visitation is planned for Monday, October 1, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:30 PM at Bladen Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. The funeral will be Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 4:00 PM at Center Road Baptist Church with Rev. Warren Hill, Rev. Vernon Britt, and Rev. Cameron McGill officiating. Burial will follow the service in New Pait Cemetery.
