Emanual Seals

Emanual Lee Seals, 71, US Navy Veteran of Elizabethtown went to his eternal home on Sunday, September 12, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Seals and Annie Ruth Jernigan Seals, daughter, Odessa “Ruthie” Seals, and one sister, Linda Seals Smith. Survivors include his brothers, Dwight Seals and Vincent Seals, both of Elizabethtown, one sister Vanessa Cain (E. Braxton Oxendine) of Wilmington, a special friend Rachel Singletary, and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind cherished friends, Ray and Wanda Britt and family, Susie Inman and family,  Faye Womble, Ralph Hester and countless others he met along life's road.

Emanual was a dedicated son, father, friend, and serviceman. He loved his country and enjoyed his time spent on the USS Dixie.  After the loss of his baby girl, Ruthie, at the age of 3, Emanual filled that void by loving all children in the world. He was a very kind man who enjoyed talking with anyone that would listen and never met a stranger. He enjoyed rooting for his favorite team, NC State, and watching Nascar. Gone but not forgotten, Emanual will be remembered for his kind spirit, his friendly demeanor and his loving heart.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Arlington National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Boys & Girls Home of Lake Waccamaw where he worked as a counselor early in his career.
