Emery Baxley

Emery Horace Baxley, age 79, of Elizabethtown went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 19, 2010.



The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Elizabethtown Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Carroll, Rev. Cameron McGill and Rev. Jerry Green officiating.

Burial will follow in Brisson Cemetery, Hwy. 41, Bladenboro, NC.



He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Russ Baxley; his parents, Emery Garland and Rotha Mae Thompson Baxley; three brothers, Garland, Elmer and Earl Baxley.



He is survived by: one son, Horace \\"Melvin\\" Baxley and wife Marlene of Harrells; two daughters, Glenda Smith of Elizabethtown and Rosa English and husband Randy of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Myles \\"Darlee\\" Baxley of St. Pauls and Lester \\"Eugene\\" Baxley of Glennville, GA: four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a special friend Maxine Cashwell.
