Erika Stahl

Erika C. Stahl, (Nee Kraetzer) age 92 of Elizabethtown passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Adele Lorenz Kraetzer, a brother, Ralph and a granddaughter, Tracy L. Seme.
Mrs. Stahl was born April 24, 1924 in Wuppertal, Germany. She was the daughter of the late William and Adele Lorenz Kraetzer. Erika came to the United States in 1930 and lived in Irvington, NJ and Bricktown, NJ, before moving to Harrisonburg, VA and then to Elizabethtown, NC.

On July 3, 1946 she married Robert T. Stahl, who passed away in 1984.
Her successful career in Hospital Administration began in Point Pleasant Hospital, Point Pleasant, NJ. She retired from Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, VA.

Erika is survived by her daughter, Christine L. Seme of Elizabethtown, NC; one son, Stephen W. Stahl and wife Helen of Surry, VA; niece, Judy Hassler and husband Gary of Byron, IL; several grandnieces and grandnephews, and her many loving friends.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the physicians and nurses of Cape Fear Valley Hospital and Bladen County Hospital.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 9:00 am at Trinity UMC in Elizabethtown, NC with Rev. Jay Winston officiating.
